This coming Valentine’s Day, Ladies of Paradise is launching their very first cannabis product, Lady Jays pre-rolls, kicking off with a “Galentine’s Day” event at their brick-and-mortar shop. The launch event will take place from 4-7 pm at 959 SE Division St. in Portland, Oregon. High 5 Tour Bus will be doing runs to and from Cannabliss and the shop for consumption, and inside they will have pop-up vendors such as New York based Love and Destroy, as well as Portland local High Girls Club. There will be glitter hair extensions by Goddess Glitter Hair and live t-shirt screen printing (free shirt w/ proof of Lady Jays purchase!) by Tour Print. Ladies of Paradise will be providing drinks and light bites.
The Lady Jays’ first drop is a licensing partnership between Ladies of Paradise and ‘The Grow’, a cultivation team based in Central Point, Oregon. They will continue the line co-branding with several handpicked farms across the state of Oregon, and eventually to other states. Lady Jays will come in packs of 10 half gram pre-rolled cannabis joint packs adorably designed and packaged with pink ‘paradise’ on the filter of the joints. The Ladies of Paradise brand is known for their unapologetic feminine aesthetic, and Lady Jays is no exception to the rule. Speaking of rules, check out their vibrant Instagram, a rainbow themed array of images with positive rules and words to live by.
“This is just the beginning for our cannabis product ideas. Joints are the main way we consume cannabis as the Ladies of Paradise team, so it was almost a no-brainer to start there. We love our product and packaging and feel like Lady Jays will be a breath of fresh air for the industry,” said Jade Daniels, Ladies of Paradise founder and co-owner. Lady Jays will be distributed by Pharmer’s Market and available in select stores across the state of Oregon. Ladies of Paradise will be donating 3 cents of every box to non-profits and charities of their choice. “Good Flower. Girl power. This is what Lady Jays are made of.”
Here is what you need to know before visiting your local medical dispensary:You may need a physician’s recommendation, medical cannabis certification, and/or whatever proper documentation is needed by your state. Typically, you must be 18 or older to be eligible for a medical authorization, but exceptions may be made in some conditions for minors with particularly debilitating conditions. You will usually enroll with a medicinal dispensary. This is to keep your medical cannabis recommendation or certification on file for legal and regulatory purposes. There’ll be a waiting room. This is to control the flow of patients and product, but a simple dividing wall also gives patients solitude and direct one-on-one contact using a budtender to candidly discuss medical issues. Many times, but not necessarily, your purchases will be tracked by medical dispensaries. This procedure can help budtenders and patients monitor effective medication in addition to have a living listing of producers and products for future reference and follow-up. Medicinal dispensaries usually permit you to smell and examine the buds before buy. This might differ from state-to-state.
